Janitor/ Custodian (Head Office, Second Floor)

This position is will perform a variety of maintenance and cleaning tasks to keep the head office (second floor) clean, sanitized and up to all health and safety hygiene standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ø Clean building floors by sweeping and mopping twice daily (at opening and closing) and as required by staff during the regular working hours (8AM – 4PM)
• Ø Thoroughly clean, scrub and maintain restrooms by using the Company supplied products and ensuring that all toilet paper and napkins are always stocked as required
• Ø Remove waste and empty trash from the kitchen and all office areas daily, on Fridays, ensuring that the trash is collected within the last hour of work (3-4PM)
• Ø Clean all glass surfaces (glass panes included)/ windows once per week, using the Company supplied glass cleaners
• Ø Clean up of spills with the necessary supplies as required
• Ø Ensure that the kitchen area is clean each morning, lunch and afternoon, with special cleaning around busy hours (lunch time 11-2PM).
• Ø Ensure that the sink is empty and without dishes before existing the compound or as required
• Ø Wipe all desk surfaces twice per week (offices) within the convenience of the occupants)
• Ø Ensure that the training room tables are thoroughly cleaned weekly, and bi monthly, using soap and water to scrub such tables for cleaning
• Ø Ensure that the entrances and exits of the building are swept and cleaned daily
• Ø Thoroughly clean the conference room once per week, wiping all chairs tables and equipment in the room
• Ø Assist with the preparation of sandwiches, juice, and distribution for Company events and training/ Orientation/ special events, ensuring that all tables are cleaned, water is placed on each table and consistent cleaning of the area is done
• Ø Ensure that the fridge is cleaned once per week, refilling milk, sauces and all other consumables
• Ø Ensure that the microwave is cleaned daily
• Ø All policies and procedures are to be adhered to at all times
• Ø Perform any other duty, within the designated area as required by Management
