The incumbent will update and maintain financial records, and manage our accounting databases, receiving and dispatching goods, managing stock levels, and recording stock movement to ensure that optimal inventory levels are maintained.

 Accounting

  1. Perform routine clerical accounting duties while adhering to established accounting standards.
  2. Be a resource for accounts receivable.
  3. Assist in audit requests.
  1. Verify and post details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledgers and databases.
  2. Match, batch, and coding vendor/supplier invoices (Inventory, expense and assets).
  3. Maintains accounting records by making copies and filing documents.
  4. Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  5. Provide assistance and support to company personnel.
  6. Monitor customer accounts receivable balances.
  7. Communicating payment advice to customers.
  8. Prepare supplier reconciliations.
  9. Assist in the stock taking exercise.
  10. Maintain accurate records and controls.
  11. Participate in month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, sales tax computations, and other accounting duties in a timely manner.
  12. Petty Cash management.

 Inventory

  1. Responsible for receiving, storing and issuing of goods, and managing the stock levels.
  2. To undertake the function of stock taking and confirm the periodic stock on a regular basis by working closely with the designated staff members.
  3. To maintain record a record of receipts and issuance of items that are going out of the factory/warehouse to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  4. Reporting discrepancies in inventory that indicate theft, such as too little inventory at last count.
  5. Updating inventory count and maintaining inventory records to share with management and other stakeholders in the business.
