The Inventory Manager – Guyana Operations is responsible for overseeing and controlling all inventory activities to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across office and warehouse operations.
Job Summary
The Inventory Manager – Guyana Operations is responsible for overseeing and controlling all inventory activities to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across office and warehouse operations. This role involves monitoring inventory cycles, reconciling variances, managing inventory staff, coordinating with purchasing, logistics, finance, and sales teams, and implementing inventory technologies such as barcode scanners. The Inventory Manager also ensures proper handling of stock, minimizes spoilage and losses, produces inventory reports, and upholds HSE and HACCP standards within the storage and warehouse environment.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct/Monitor all cycles of inventory to identify all operational problems in inventory management and provide possible solutions.
Maintain records of all variances according to established procedures and ensure accuracy of all product transfers from one facility to another.
Collaborate with the Purchasing/Logistics Department for incoming inventory.
Assist in monitoring expiration dates/ spoilages/ damages
Spot check weights when receiving new items into inventory and identify variances.
Conduct random physical stock checks to ensure stock accuracy and advise of any variations.
Stock corrections to be accurately and promptly forwarded to the Finance Dept.
Sensitize the Sales and Purchasing departments of any new items or packaging changes.
Work closely with the warehouse leadership team.
Reconcile stock variances, analyze variances and recommend solutions.
Investigate no stock items.
Implementation of new technology in particular, the handheld barcode scanners.
Manage assigned inventory staff.
Produce inventory management reports as requested.
Assist with upholding the Company’s HSE policies and procedures to ensure the work environment is safe and in compliance with HACCP policy.
Any other responsibilities as may be assigned by management.
Job Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Inventory Management or Supply Chain Management
CIPS
Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Accounting.
At least five (5) years’ experience in inventory management which includes the efficient use and application of a bar coding scanner/device.
