This position manages vehicle spare parts inventory island wide.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage inventory of Vehicle Spare Parts in Kingston, Ocho Rios, Montego Bay and Mandeville.
  • Daily reconciliation of vehicle spare parts.
  • Scheduling and supervision of monthly stock counts and impromptu physical verification of inventory when necessary.
  • Verification of invoices/GRN
  • Management of Inventory to minimize stock out
  • Updating system daily with all transactions including issuance, transfers, returns, damage of stock
  • Oversee and manage goods returned to stock and process on system
  • Provide weekly inventory variance report with explanation on high variances
  • Daily approval of requisitions
  • Scheduling and coordinating monthly Stock Counts
  • Implementing systems and controls to minimize monthly variances and mitigate losses from theft
  • Establish minimum/maximum levels for all stock items and review periodically based on usage
  • Use and develop systems to monitor and optimize stock rotation and near dated occurrences.
  • Report on established KPI targets
  • Maintain the standards required by the Company’s Quality Management System to ensure compliance with annual internal and external audits.
  • Manage inventory team, schedule roster, monitor performance.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent leadership and People Management Skills
  • Strong analytical, time management, decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • High degree of stress tolerance and ability to work under pressure.
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • High levels of initiative, adaptability, flexibility and dependability.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management or Operations Management.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Inventory Management or accounting
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting or internal auditing would be an asset
