Stansfeld Scott is seeking an organised and analytical Inventory Control Manager to take responsibility for purchasing and evaluating group inventory to achieve optimal rotation and stock levels.

Stansfeld Scott is seeking an organised and analytical Inventory Control Manager to take responsibility for purchasing and evaluating group inventory to achieve optimal rotation and stock levels. This is a senior position, as the successful applicant must work across Stansfeld Scott and Wine World, collaborating with our management team to ensure compliance with established inventory management policies.

Responsibilities

  • Optimise inventory levels and accuracy by developing and implementing inventory control procedures and strategies.
  • Lead the inventory team, ensuring compliance with inventory management procedures.
  • Improve inventory efficiency by analysing inventory data and trends; identifying areas of improvement, such as minimising stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Estimate future inventory requirements based on historical data, sales forecasts, and industry trends.
  • Prepare product orders in accordance with well-defined specifications and purchasing standards.
  • Manage and conduct regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy.

 

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and knowledge of Asycuda World.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
