JOB SUMMARY

The chosen incumbent will be responsible for processing receipts and invoices of all merchandise and organizing and maintaining the stockroom according to Company policy. 

JOB DUTIES

  • Processing CSU to Store / Store to Store transfers and assisting in the rectification of discrepancies on a daily basis.
  • Processing Direct Store Deliveries on a daily basis including the accurate receipt and posting of invoices and preparation for Accounts Payables.
  • Ensuring all invoices are received and posted same day.
  • Ensuring all invoices are invoiced same day.
  • Ensuring price and unit integrity of merchandise upon delivery.
  • Ensuring all sealed boxes are opened and items are physically counted to match invoiced received.
  • Ensuring merchandise is not defective or broken upon delivery to the location.
  • Dispatching merchandise to sales floor immediately upon receiving and posting on LS/NAV.
  • Reporting any discrepancies, anomalies, concerns and issues to the Store Management team immediately.
  • Responsible for the overall management of damages, expiries and shrinkage.
  • Managing Vendor expectations when multiple vendors are waiting to be received.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of accurate inventory records.
  • Prepare and organize perpetual cycle counts inclusive but not limited to Daily, Weekly, Monthly, quarterly and annual cycle counts.
  • Prepare and organize perpetual stock/divisional counts inclusive but not limited to Daily, Weekly, Monthly, quarterly and annual stock/divisional counts.
  • Ensure stock count checklist is completed accurately prior to the commencement of the stock count.
  • Ensure the SHRINK target is met outlined by the Finance department.
  • Ensuring all goods are rotated in accordance with the FIFO guidelines.
  • Ensuring Food Perishables items are stored in the appropriate chillers/freezers immediately upon receipt.
  • Processing transfers to / from dispensary stock.
  • Maintaining stockroom and receiving area in clean, neat and organized manner to ensure easy and safe access to merchandise in accordance to OSHA guidelines.
  • Processing outbound inventory shipments, including defective or damaged merchandise to vendors on a weekly basis.
  • Assisting with vendor management by providing delivery service reports, vendor fulfilment reports and any other relevant data.
  • Assisting the Inventory Coordinator & various departments in managing efficient inventory functions according to company policy.
  • Engage with customers actively on all aisles throughout the shopfloor.
  • Answer customer’s questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.
  • Escalate customer queries and complaints to the management team.
  • Communicate customer requests to management and place special orders or call other stores to find desired items.
  • Maintain a clean store environment and assist with housekeeping.
  • Monitor stock levels and replenish and merchandise all products.
  • Tag price on merchandise and complete price changes for all products within the store.
  • Performs any other duties as required by the Company.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Five (5) O’ level passes including Mathematics and English.
  • At least 2 years’ previous retail or customer service experience.
  • Inventory experience will be considered an asset.
  • Computer Literacy
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

WORKING HOURS

The position requires shift work including weekends and public holidays. Due to the nature of the job, the Employee may be required to work for other periods and hours as the Company shall determine. The Company shall give the Employee reasonable notice where the Employee is expected to work beyond his/her usual working hours.
