Inventory Clerk

The Inventory Clerk is responsible for actively supporting stock control operations with warehouse staff, to avoid stock losses and have accurate reporting of stock. The job holder will be responsible for ensuring that the appropriate internal controls and practices are in place and adhered to, in order to promote transparency and accountability, add significant value, enhance risk management, governance and compliance, and improve operational efficiency within warehouse operations.

  • Verify the proper receipt from source, internal movement within warehouse, dispatch, receipt of undelivered and returned items into, within or from the warehouse according to prescribed procedures
  • Follow that loads and unloads are checked according to prescribed procedures
  • Track, investigate, solve shortages, overages or any other stock issues that may arise during Warehouse operations
  • Initiate stock write-off processes and follow up to completion
  • Initiate all Finance stock counts in the ERP system.
  • Conduct weekly spot counts as per standard

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Business Management or a related field
  • Inventory Management or Supply Chain certification would be considered an asset
  • Forklift License would be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems / GP would be considered an asset
