The Inventory Clerk will support the Inventory Manager/Supervisor with the receival and dispatching of materials. He/she will support Kemtek’s long term strategic inventory management objectives by ensuring compliance with the Inventory Department Policies and Procedures.

Location is on a construction site in Portmore, St. Catherine

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receive materials from suppliers and cross-referencing items received with the supplier invoices
  • Ensure items are in proper condition before receiving items
  • Ensure that all containers are checked, for contrabands and any illegal items and report to the supervisor
  • Ensure that container seals are intact upon receivals maintain accurate record and assist in organizing the warehouse
  • Report all deviations and discrepancies on supplier invoices to the Warehouse Supervisor
  • Check and verify all materials being dispatched from the warehouse to ensure that they are accurately matching the material request document
  • Issue material request documents to warehouse attendants
  • Filing and proper record keeping of all documents handled
  • Ensuring a 7-point checklist is completed for all containers coming from the port
  • Carry out weekly stock count
  • Report all stock and miscellaneous items that are low in quantity to the warehouse supervisor
  • Provide support to the Warehouse Supervisor
  • Follow established safety guidelines and procedures. This includes the wearing of basic safety gears while on site. At a minimum, this includes a steel-toe work boot, high visibility safety vest and Hard Protective Helmet. Other safety items such as gloves, backstraps and any other safety item provided must be used when carrying out duties.
  • Any other related duties that are assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma
  • At least 2 years Inventory/warehouse experience
  • Valid Forklift Operator Certification is a plus
