The Senior Auditor is responsible for executing risk-based internal audits across all Group territories, providing independent assurance and advisory services to assess governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
¨ Plan, organize and execute internal audits, including assisting in the preparation of risk assessment and a Group–wide
audit plan.
¨ Conduct audits of business processes, systems, and functions, information technology, financial and compliance
according to the yearly audit plan.
¨ Perform audits of the operation’s intermediaries to ensure compliance with laws, regulations and contractual
obligations.
¨ Review the systems established to ensure compliance with those policies, plans, procedures, laws and regulations
which have a significant impact on the operation including Anti-Money Laundering policy and Insurance regulations
and report on whether or not the operation is complying with these policies, plans, procedures, laws and regulations.
¨ Complete monitoring activities such as obtaining updates for open action plans and assisting in the validation of closed
action plans.
¨ Prepare summaries of findings and recommendations and communicate results with the Internal Audit Manager/ HIA.
¨ Assist in identifying control and process weaknesses and their root causes based on audit work performed; support the
Audit Manager in preparing discussion points, agreeing on remedial actions and implementation timelines with
management.
¨ Assist with external audit support work as the need arises.
¨ Follow the Internal Audit Charter, manuals, protocols and other internal policies and procedures.
¨ Always conform to all applicable international professional standards.
¨ Uphold independence, objectivity, and confidentiality in accordance with the Global Internal Audit Standards and the
company’s Code of Conduct.
- Submit/discuss self-assessment of performance to the Head of Internal Audit every six (6) months.

¨ Good understanding of risk assessment practices, internal control concepts, the Global Internal Audit Standards and
experience in applying them to plan, perform, manage and report on the evaluation of various business
processes/areas/ functions.
¨ Ability to work independently, with limited required direction and guidance, as well as part of a team.
¨ Proactive with a strong ability to identify areas of risk and improvement.
¨ Must possess unquestionable character, good analytical, time management and problem-solving skills, attention to
details and strong interpersonal skills.
¨ Demonstrates developing professional judgment and strong written communication skills.
¨ Able to sell ideas and obtain management buy-in for constructive change.
- Good oral and written communication skills in English are mandatory.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
¨ Must maintain at least one (1) professional audit or accountancy qualifications / designations e.g., CIA, ACCA, CA, CPA,
RA.
¨ Proactive pursuit of additional specialist qualifications for professional growth.
¨ At least four years of experience in auditing is required, with a focus on operational and financial audits, preferably in a
corporate environment.
¨ Continuously improve level of knowledge/experience in the insurance industry.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
