Internship Opportunity – Life Insurance Operations & Data Protection

JN Group invites applications for an Internship opportunity within the Life Insurance Operations and Data Protection Department. This role provides hands-on experience in data quality management, system readiness, and compliance within a regulated environment.
The selected intern will support critical data improvement initiatives, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity across Life Insurance systems.
Key Responsibilities
Data Audit and Assessment
- Assist in identifying inconsistencies, duplications, and missing fields within the Life Insurance database
- Support reconciliation of legacy and current system data
- Maintain audit logs and track issues through to resolution
Data Cleansing and Standardization
- Correct inaccuracies in client, policy, and claims records
- Remove or flag duplicate records and ensure proper record linkage
- Standardize data formats in line with JN Life data governance protocols
System Preparation and Migration Support
- Prepare data to support system updates or migration activities
- Assist with validation and verification before and after system updates
- Track assigned tasks and escalate critical data anomalies promptly
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain structured daily and weekly logs of activities, progress, and outstanding items
- Document recurring data issues and recommend process improvements
- Support preparation of status updates and a final report on data quality, completeness, and recommendations
Data Protection and Compliance
- Adhere to strict confidentiality standards when handling client and company data
- Escalate potential data risks promptly to supervisory staff
- Ensure all work aligns with internal policies and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- First Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Information Technology, Data Analytics, Actuarial Science, Business Administration or a related field)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar data tools
- Basic knowledge of or exposure to project management principles; able to plan, track, and support task execution
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information
