Insurance Sales Representative
A growing organization in the insurance sector is seeking a results-driven Sales Representative to identify prospective clients, build strong relationships, and drive the sale of insurance products. This role is heavily field- and outreach-focused, with a primary target audience of security guards. The successful candidate will be confident with cold calling, product pitching, client sign-ups, and weekly reporting, while delivering excellent customer service and meeting sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct cold calls during work hours to secure meetings with potential clients
Identify and engage new prospects, with a strong focus on security guards
Pitch insurance products clearly and persuasively to potential clients
Explain product features and benefits to match client needs
Facilitate client sign-ups and ensure application forms are accurately completed
Build and maintain strong, trust-based client relationships
Address client queries and complaints promptly and professionally
Follow up on leads to convert prospects into confirmed sales
Negotiate terms and respond effectively to objections to close deals
Request referrals from satisfied clients to expand the customer base
Leverage networking opportunities to generate new sales leads
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
Compile and submit weekly sales and activity reports to the Manager
Deliver all completed application forms to the office by Friday afternoon each week
Collaborate with the team to share insights and improve sales performance
Meet or exceed monthly and weekly sales targets set by management
Qualifications and Requirements
Tertiary education in Business, Sales, or a related field would be an asset
3–5 years’ experience in sales within the insurance industry
Successful completion of the OLT Examination for Sales
Strong verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings for client sign-ups
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Experience using CRM systems is an asset
