Corporate Project Engineer

Purpose:

Joint responsibility for capex projects execution for both Maintenance and Growth, as well as Infrastructure asset integrity for corresponding markets. Project management and construction using best practices to ensure timely and on budget delivery. Inspection of plant and equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Assist with the setting and maintaining of engineering standards and capex budget templates for Eastern Caribbean Markets and others as it might be required

Principal

Accountabilities:

  • Lead team of six or more engineers executing project manangement  across different countrie sin the Eastern Caribbean
  • Ensures HSE processes are followed in projects execution including risk assessments, permits to works, training, etc.
  • Ensure designs are developed per applicable industry standards and  reviews are done with market organisations prior to construction / fabrication
  • Supervise, train and develop Project Engineers
  • Resposnible for construction according to industry standards
  • Tracking of capex spent and stewarchip versus plans
  • Monitors contractors and other project personnel for compliance with contract and project management requirements (emphasis on safety and risk assessment/management)
  • Interact with Spply Chain for development and evaluation of RFPs for  acquisition of material, equipment and services
  • Reviews deviations from standards with appropriate supervisors/advisors/process owners
  • Develop, provide feedback/recommendations on project management requirements/tools and design, construction / fabrication and equipment standards
  • Project engineering compliance with schedules and budget
  • Coordination and checking of engineering deliverables
  • Preparation of engineering project proposals for approval
  • Budget monitoring and trend tracking
  • Interact with markets teams to provide updates on capex and projects as well as for priorities
  • And any other duties as assigned periodically

Qualification Requirements:

  • Graduated from Civil, Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical / Electronic Engineering, preferably.
  • 10+ years of work experience in engineer related areas and no less than 10 years in the Oil and Gas Sector.
  • Strong Analytical skills.
  • Skilled in Negotiation and Project Management.
  • Strong time management and leadership skills, efficiency and organization, fulfillment of goals.
  • Good Communication and interpersonal skills. Customer Service oriented. Team player.
  • Competent in AutoCad and Microsoft office package: Project, Power BI, Word, Excel, Power Point.

Other Information:

In addition to basic salary, the successful applicant shall receive applicable job grade allowances and be eligible to participate in The Sol Group Pension Scheme and its non-contributory Group Health and Life Insurance Scheme.

Travel will be required.
