Information Technology Technician

The person operating in this position is required to complete the following tasks with the greatest efficiency and adhere to all health & safety practices of the Company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The IT Technician will be responsible for:

1. Company ICT User Equipment: Hardware & Software Upgrades when required
2. Maintenance/Repairs to Printers, Scanners and Fax machines (Hardware & Software).
3. Maintenance of Server Room and all related ICT Equipment inside.
4. On Call Branch Technical Support, within working hours.
5. Wide Area Network (WAN) Administration:

-Troubleshooting of Data and Voice Communication.

6. Maintenance & Troubleshooting Company’s Wireless (WIFI) Networks.
7. Administrators for the company's Business Communication Manager (BCM Management).
8. MESL's Internal E-mail System

-Full employee support provided (adding, removing, troubleshooting, configuring & internal email web access).

9. MESL Network Security:

-Monitored and controlled regularly (updating passwords and monitoring/configuring of the firewall).

10. LED Video Screen Troubleshooting
11. Technical Hardware Connectivity Support for all Microsoft Dynamics GP users & Internet.
12. Attending to all troubleshooting of Company Cellular Phones
13. Lending full support to Sales and Customers in the ICT field when called upon.
14. Assisting in the Goods Ordering Process in the ICT field (Recommendations and Product Testimonials)
15. Ordering and installing Computer and Server Equipment etc.
16. Preventative Maintenance for all Hardware & Software related equipment.
