Information Technology Teacher
(Full-Time; Senior School CXC CSEC)
Information Technology Teacher to teach Secondary School students and prepare them for CXC CSEC
Curriculum Development:
Creating/implementing lesson plans, syllabi, and assessments that align with educational standards and student learning objectives.
Instruction and Teaching:
Delivering engaging and interactive lessons, utilizing various teaching methods and technologies to foster student understanding and skill development.
Student Assessment:
Evaluating student performance through various methods, providing constructive feedback, and tracking student progress to identify areas for improvement.
Technology Integration:
Staying current with new technologies and incorporating them into the curriculum to enhance student learning experiences.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
Bachelor's degree or a teaching certificate in a related field (e.g., computer science, education, technology) preferred.
Teaching Experience:
Prior teaching experience preferrably with ages 11-17, especially in IT or related fields.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong understanding of various IT concepts, software, hardware, and programming languages.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, and to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
Technology Skills:
Proficiency in using various digital tools, software, and platforms for teaching and learning.
