Information Technology (I.T.) Manager
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNA, PMP) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, with a demonstrated track record of success in leading IT teams and managing complex IT projects in a healthcare or hospital setting.
- Strong technical skills in network administration, system administration, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure management, with proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Cisco networking, and cloud computing platforms.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic IT plans, manage IT budgets, and optimize IT operations to achieve organizational objectives and enhance patient care delivery.
- Experience in project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile and Scrum, with a focus on delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
Job Summary:
The IT Manager plays a pivotal role in managing the hospital's information technology systems and infrastructure to support clinical operations, administrative functions, and patient care delivery. The IT Manager oversees a team of IT professionals and ensures the reliable, secure, and efficient operation of all IT systems and services within the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership:
- Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the hospital's IT department, aligning IT initiatives with the organization's mission, goals, and priorities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing expert guidance and recommendations on IT-related matters, risks, and opportunities.
Strategic Planning:
- Conduct regular assessments of current IT systems and infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
- Provide expertise and guidance on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to inform strategic decision-making and long-term planning.
Infrastructure Management:
- Monitor system performance and capacity utilization to identify bottlenecks and optimize resource allocation.
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity solutions to minimize downtime and ensure the availability of critical IT services.
Systems Administration:
- Implement and enforce data security measures, access controls, and data integrity protocols to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor system health and performance metrics to proactively identify and address issues before they impact patient care or operational efficiency.
Security and Compliance:
- Develop, implement, and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and controls to protect against cybersecurity threats, data breaches, and unauthorized access.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate security risks.
Vendor Management:
- Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies to identify potential vendor partnerships and opportunities for innovation.
User Support and Training:
- Provide technical support and assistance to hospital staff, clinicians, and end-users to resolve IT-related issues and optimize system performance.
- Develop and deliver training programs and materials to educate users on IT systems, applications, and best practices.
Project Management:
- Lead IT projects and initiatives, such as system upgrades, migrations, implementations, and integrations, from inception to completion.

Salary will be paid in accordance with the experience and requirements of the post with the terms stipulated by The Board of St. Jude Hospital.
