Information & Systems Manager - Kingston/St. Catherine

We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to oversee the management, performance, and reliability of an organization’s technology systems and infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring that all computing environments, networks, and related equipment operate efficiently while supporting the organization’s operational and strategic goals.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical leadership abilities, a deep understanding of modern IT environments, and a proven ability to manage technology operations, analyze systems performance, and implement improvements that enhance efficiency and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the technology team, including recruitment, training, performance monitoring, and development.
  • Oversee and manage the annual technology budget while ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Monitor daily operations of the organization’s technology infrastructure, including servers, systems software, and operating environments.
  • Coordinate system installations, upgrades, maintenance, and technology improvements.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and procure hardware and software solutions to meet operational needs.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and optimize systems to ensure reliable and efficient performance.
  • Generate system performance and operational reports for management review.
  • Ensure all technology activities comply with applicable policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess potential technology risks and develop disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity procedures.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry best practices to support continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing technology infrastructure and IT services in an operational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of computer networks, network administration, and infrastructure deployment.
  • Proficiency in computer hardware, structured cabling, wireless technologies, and IT security practices.
  • Experience working with Microsoft environments including Windows Server, Microsoft Office, and Exchange.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours when operational needs require.
