Information Security Officer

We are seeking qualified applicants for the role of Information Security Officer to join our team. The position is responsible for designing and implementing robust security architectures that safeguard our IT systems and data.

Responsibilities

• Provide advisory expertise to information technology (IT) leadership, ensuring IT systems are aligned with the current and future security posture.
• Lead evaluations and recommend new approaches for securing IT services and automating security processes.
• Coordinate and oversee information security compliance audits and assessments (e.g., supplier risk assessments, SOC 2 Type II, penetration testing, external audits, etc.).
• Provide key inputs into business resilience, working across functional verticals on business continuity management and disaster recovery planning.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of policies, standards, and procedures.
• Provide support for the annual planning and budgeting, management reporting and risk governance meetings.
• Assist in identifying and improving security controls in the CI/CD pipeline

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Computer Science or a related discipline, and five (5) years’ experience in IT, risk management, compliance, or any other related field.
• Professional security certifications from accredited institutions (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CSK).
• Architecture certification would be ideal.
• Demonstrated ability to articulate security risks and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and efficient in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
• Ability to work independently or within a team.

Technical Competencies

• Proficiency in designing, implementing, and automating security solutions tailored to cloud environments.
• Ability to oversee and enhance security controls in technical environments, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Skilled at coordinating security compliance initiatives, audits, and risk assessments.
• Expertise in advising and implementing technical security measures that align with industry best practices.
