About Us
We are expanding our culinary team and seeking a skilled and passionate Indian (IdU) Chef to bring authentic Indian flavors to our guests. Our property prides itself on delivering world-class dining experiences, and we are looking for someone with expertise in traditional and contemporary Indian cuisine to elevate our offerings.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and present a wide variety of authentic Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori, breads, vegetarian and non-vegetarian specialties.
Develop and design Indian-themed menus, incorporating seasonal and local ingredients where appropriate.
Ensure all food preparation meets quality, portion control, and presentation standards.
Manage inventory, control costs, and minimize waste while maintaining quality.
Train, supervise, and guide kitchen staff in Indian cooking techniques.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in all kitchen operations.
Stay updated on culinary trends and bring creative ideas to enhance the guest dining experience.
Qualifications & Requirements
Proven experience as an Indian Chef (minimum 3–5 years in a hotel, resort, or reputable restaurant).
In-depth knowledge of Indian spices, cooking methods, and traditional dishes.
Ability to work with tandoor ovens and other specialized Indian kitchen equipment.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Food handler’s certification and knowledge of HACCP standards.
Must be currently residing in Jamaica.
