Inbound Supervisor

Coordinate all functions related to the unloading, intake and storage of items that are delivered to the warehouse.

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge and skills:

• Diploma in Business Administration or related discipline and two (2) years’ experience working in a similar position, one (1) of which should be at the supervisory level OR six (6) years’ experience in a related field, three (3) of which should be at a supervisory level
• Good communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Ability to use initiative
• Accuracy and a keen eye for detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (EXCEL, Word etc.)

• Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming shipments
• Oversee incoming shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and acceptable condition of shipments.
• Supervise the offloading of products from containers
• Ensure that inbound shipments are received and put-away in a timely manner
• Utilize reporting methodologies via SAP to verify the accurate completion of the receiving procedures
• Supervise the storage and movement of containers in the yard to ensure efficient transfer of products to warehouse
• Direct the process that ensures the timely collection of containers by haulage contractors
• Ensure training needs are identified and addressed to support operational requirements and comply with legal requirements contained within various regulations including, but not limited to, OSHA, Factories Act and Public Health Act
