Our client located in Trincity is seeking to recruit an IT TECHNICAN.


The salary is $9,975.00 - Permanent role

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve a host of company computer-related hardware and software problems as they arise.
  • Perform upgrades and repairs on company computers as necessary, and facilitate the physical deployment and configuration of systems.
  • Diagnose system issues and facilitate the repair process of non-warranty computer equipment.
  • Implement, deploy, upgrade, and repair physical hardware equipment and software systems, modifying device configurations as directed (including computers, printers, scanners, switches, wireless routers, etc.).
  • Perform advanced system management tasks with respect to Microsoft client operating systems.
  • Administer Windows Server environments and Active Directory domain services within a virtualized structural setup.
  • Administer, upgrade, and maintain the company’s internal mail server architecture.
  • Perform routine security checks on Firewalls and Antivirus systems, execute required configuration changes, and manage periodic reboots of servers post-Windows update deployments in conjunction with the External Team.
  • Maintain underlying server and network infrastructure by directly liaising with vendors, as well as developing, testing, evaluating, and installing hardware and software enhancements.
  • Administer and maintain corporate CCTV equipment and extract specific security or video footage for structured review by management.
  • Administer, optimize, and maintain the organization’s VoIP Telephone PBX system while providing operational support to all standard end-users.
  • Manage the organizational Disaster Recovery solution, verifying scheduled routines in collaboration with the External Team alongside performing periodic Offsite Backups.
  • Construct, update, and oversee the continuous maintenance of an Asset Register tracking all company-owned IT equipment.
  • Provide technical IT helpdesk support to all corporate end-users in response to official requests for hardware or system assistance.
  • Identify system bottlenecks and formulate technical/business justification for areas requiring upgraded hardware and software architectures.
  • Liaise comprehensively with staff, third-party suppliers, and external technical support channels to resolve operational infrastructure issues and implement physical systems.
  • Provide system administration and first-level software troubleshooting support to the organization’s primary business applications.
  • Provide specialized administration, query optimization, and technical troubleshooting services for back-end SQL Server Databases.
  • Oversee the administration and field maintenance of biometric scanners, facilitating technical system training and enrollment of all active employees in direct conjunction with the Payroll Department.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • CompTIA A+ Certification (Hardware/OS Fundamentals).
  • CompTIA Network+ Certification (Networking Fundamentals).
  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or related associate-level certifications would be an asset.
  • At least 3 years’ direct experience with Windows computer networks and Active Directory domain structures.
  • Proven ability to reliably install, deploy, configure, and support Windows-based business computers.
  • Demonstrated capability to ensure swift resolution of critical technical issues—across both hardware and software environments—within the shortest possible time, in a cost-efficient manner, and in strict coordination with External Consultants.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Client architectures, and Windows Server infrastructure environments.
  • Excellent documentation and asset recording tracking skills.
  • Practical, analytical problem-solving skills and solid logical hardware/software troubleshooting workflows.
  • Good organizational, multi-tasking, time management, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate fluidly with multi-disciplinary administrative departments and communicate technical constraints clearly to non-technical personnel.

KEY AUTHORITIES:

  • Authorized to execute routine configurations, modifications, and system updates on company computers and accessories.
  • Authorized to initiate server reboots and patch implementations post-Windows update services in conjunction with the External Team.
  • Authorized to compile, modify, and manage the master Asset Register of all corporate IT equipment.
  • Authorized to extract and export closed-circuit security camera (CCTV) video footage for direct management review.
  • Authorized to register, manage, and audit employee fingerprints and user profile sets within the corporate Biometric scanners.
  • Authorized to interface with third-party IT suppliers, service providers, and maintenance technicians to evaluate enhancements or resolve local network downtime, while keeping immediate supervisor fully apprised.

INTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS:

  • All staff members 
  • Joint Managing Directors (providing reporting updates, system analysis, and extracted surveillance data).
  • Payroll Department staff (collaborating directly on employee biometric scanning configurations and user additions).

EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS:

  • All contracted third-party vendors and suppliers of company software, physical hardware, networks, and line-of-business applications.
  • Any/all contracted external maintenance technicians, system consultants, and network infrastructure support teams.
  • External Consultants managing the overarching corporate firewall, cybersecurity frameworks, and Disaster Recovery infrastructure.
