The IT Support Technician provides reliable technical support, troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance across client IT environments, supporting hardware, software, business applications, user accounts, telecom, security, and network equipment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Install and configure IT systems: Hardware, software, and peripherals including desktops, laptops, printers, VoIP phones, and mobile devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues: Diagnose and repair hardware, software, and network problems efficiently, minimizing downtime.
  • Support business applications: Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, Google Suite, other Microsoft application and any other applications that may be utilized by our clientele. 
  • Maintain telecom and security systems: Assist with installation and troubleshooting of telephone systems, camera systems, alarm systems, and access control systems.
  • Provide customer support: Attend to in-person and remote support calls, ensuring timely resolution and professional communication.
  • Document IT environments: Keep accurate records of changes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps in knowledge base articles.
  • Perform account management: Create, modify, and delete user accounts in Active Directory, Office 365, and Google Suite.
  • Implement cybersecurity practices: Apply patches, updates, and anti-virus scans in line with company and client compliance standards.
  • Support projects and events: Assist with IT setup for project work, events, and contingency operations, including occasional after-hours, weekend, or public holiday work.
  • Vehicle and equipment reporting: Report issues with assigned company vehicle or IT equipment promptly.

Qualifications

  • Education: Minimum of five (5) CXC passes including Mathematics and English Language. Associate’s or Bachelor’s in IT preferred.
  • Certifications: CompTIA A+ required; Security+, Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE, Azure), or Cisco (CCNA) strongly preferred.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in IT support across diverse industries, with proven troubleshooting efficiency and documentation discipline.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, Google Suite, and networking fundamentals.
    • Note: Candidates who do not yet possess the full technical skillset may be trained to function effectively in the role.
  • Driving Requirement: Must hold a valid Trinidad & Tobago driver’s license with a clean driving record and demonstrate responsible vehicle use.
  • Additional Asset: Experience in CCTV and access control systems will be considered an advantage but is not a requirement.

Employment Details

  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm.
  • Flexibility: After-hours and weekend work may be required for projects or emergencies.
