The incumbent is responsible for technical and administrative work to support and maintain the Point of Sales (POS) systems and related devices.

Position: IT Support Professional

Reporting Relationship: This position reports to the Management Information Systems Manager.

Summary: The incumbent is responsible for technical and administrative work to support and maintain the Point of Sales (POS) systems
and related devices. The daily duties involve installation, configuration, maintenance, repair, troubleshoot, and support of all
computers (servers and desktops), point of sale hardware and software, basic network connectivity devices, standalone and
networked printers, scanning equipment and all other IT equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
> The ability to execute duties under limited supervision.
> Supports and maintains computerized systems & on-line platforms - servers, desktops, cash registers, CCTV, Alarms systems
and tablets.
> Supports and maintains POS related devices - POS printers, cash drawers, and scanners.
> Supports and maintains all PBX (on premis e & cloud), tel ephone handsets and other systems communications devices.
> Supports and maintains wireless access points and wireless device configuration.
> Provides training to end-Users on new and existing point of sale systems.
> Prepares various reports.
> Uses a variety of computer software such as POS software, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Office Suite, Windows Server
and Desktop operating systems, IOS and Android mobile operating systems.
> Interacts and communicates with various individuals throughout the company.
> Prepares documentation of all adds, moves, and changes throughout the network.
> Performs general administrative/office duties as required, including preparing reports and correspondence, entering and
retrieving electronic data, copying and filing documents.
> Works with the enterprise IT team on special projects.
> Performs related duties as required.
 
KEY SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Language Ability
> Ability to read, analyze, and interpret system generated reports and other technical procedures.
> Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
> Ability to effectively present technical information and respond to questions related to the job.

Reasoning Ability
> Ability to solve practical problems in situations where only limited information exists.

Computer Skills
> To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and various computer hardware and software configurations.
> Windows 2008/2012/2016/2019 server, Windows XP, Windows 7/8/10.
> Basic TCP/IP Networking Protocol knowledge.
> Anti-Malware software knowledge.
> Backup software knowledge.
> Basic SQL knowledge will an asset.
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
> A minimum of 3 years of experience working in the field of technical support with Computer Systems.
> A degree in IT or computer science.
> Technical certification with experience in computer repairs and computer networking.
> Experience with point of sale cash register systems will be a significant advantage.

Physical Demands
> The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
> While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to feel; reach with hands and arms.
> The employee is occasionally required to stand for lengthy periods.
 
Work Environment
> Work is mainly performed at various restaurant locations.

Travel Required
> The employee may be required to travel to other Caribbean islands occasionally.
