IT Officer

A company operating chains of quick service restaurants is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the position of IT Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring efficient operation of computer systems, networks, servers, and related technology services across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, monitor, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and applications
• Troubleshoot technical issues reported by users and provide timely support
• Manage and maintain servers, desktops, laptops, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, POS systems, and mobile devices
• Support Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 platforms, including user account administration and access management
• Apply security updates and support endpoint protection, backup, and information security practices
• Provide technical documentation and end-user training where required
• Support the rollout of new applications and technologies
• Respond to helpdesk tickets and ensure issues are resolved within agreed timelines
• Liaise with hardware/software vendors and service providers when necessary
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar role
• ITIL, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, and Microsoft 365/Azure certifications would be an asset
• Strong knowledge of server and desktop environments
• Working knowledge of Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, endpoint security, and backup systems
• Sound troubleshooting and technical support skills
