The IT Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining MovieTowne's technology systems, infrastructure, and services to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient business operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Report directly to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer on all matters relating to information technology, infrastructure, and systems operations.
Manage and maintain all technology platforms across MovieTowne, including computer systems, networks, servers, telecommunications, Point of Sale (POS) systems, cinema management systems, access control systems, digital signage, and security-related technologies.
Supervise and support the IT Technician(s), ensuring that technical support requests, maintenance activities, and technology projects are completed efficiently and in a timely manner.
Ensure that all computer and telecommunications systems used across administrative and operational departments are secure, reliable, and fully functional.
Maintain the technology infrastructure supporting the Point of Sale systems, including those utilizing the VISTA program in Concessions and Box Office operations.
Manage the company's network infrastructure, internet connectivity, servers, wireless systems, and cloud-based services to ensure maximum reliability and performance.
Develop and maintain data protection, backup, and disaster recovery policies and procedures.
Manage relationships with technology vendors, including internet service providers, telecommunications providers, consultants, and software suppliers.
Provide on-call support and respond to critical technology issues as required to ensure continuity of operations.
Monitor system performance, identify operational risks, and provide recommendations to Senior Management regarding technology investments and future requirements.
Support the delivery of an exceptional entertainment and customer experience through effective technology management.
Perform any other related duties required to support the efficient operation of the company’s technology environment.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum 5 years IT experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
Strong knowledge of network administration, server management, system security, cloud technologies, and IT infrastructure.
Experience managing IT projects, vendors, and service providers.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant IT certifications would be an asset.
Experience with POS systems, access control systems, and security technologies would be an asset.
Ability to travel between MovieTowne locations as required to support operational and technical needs.
