Ensure that all operations and IT services in the hotel run smoothly, maintaining high-quality standards while providing a professional and friendly service to all users and guests of the Hotel.

IT MANAGER

 

Effectively manage the information technology infrastructure of the Hotel, guaranteeing a professional and friendly service, complying with all IT security standards and policies, from the supervision of staff tasks, the application of applications and hardware, as well as the correct application of budget management and the implementation of security measures and the continuity of hotel systems, run without interruption in compliance with BDR quality standards and guidelines. 

 

Description of Responsibilities. 

 

  • Always offer a professional and friendly service. 
  • Establish/ Assign/ Supervise tasks of the IT staff in charge. 
  • Manage the daily IT activity of the hotel, ensuring compliance with all regulations. 
  • Comply with the company's computer security policy regarding hardware, software, security, and data protection. 
  • Management of hotel applications. 
  • Hardware management: Servers, computer equipment, printing, communications, etc. 
  • Ensure proper backup of all business-related and user-relevant data. 
  • Prepare the annual IT budget for the hotel and manage that budget in a fiscally responsible manner. 
  • Work together with suppliers of hardware/software, communications links, etc., to ensure optimal operation, as well as the claim of guarantees if applicable. 
  • Maintain periodic records and inventories of hotel hardware and software (monthly). 
  • Prepare detailed induction programs for new IT employees. 
  • Ensure that the use and installation of computer programs comply with Blue Diamond Resorts' software licensing legislation and policies. 
  • Provide daily support of all computer systems, networks, and telephone systems of the hotel. 
  • Oversee the ongoing development and testing of the disaster recovery plan (DRP) and business continuity plan (BCP) to minimize risks associated with service shutdown. 
  • Implement/keep IT troubleshooting guidance up to date and train IT staff. 
  • Ensure that all operating systems, licenses and service agreements are kept up to date and that the third-party provider complies with the agreed response times, SLAs. 
  • Manage and maintain the security of the applications by applying updates according to the established policy. 
  • Support guests in the use of IT services. 
  • Verify and monitor the operation of IT services 

 

Experience: 

 Required: 

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in hospitality as an Assistant/Systems Manager. 
  • Management skills. 
  • Knowledge of hotel operations. 
  • Leadership and communication skills. 
  • Preparation and control of CAPEX – OPEX budgets of Information Technologies. 
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure and applications PMS, POS, SPA, others. 
  • Mastery of IT infrastructure and operations best practices. 
  • Working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and system administration, databases, data storage systems and telephone systems. 
  • Fluent in written and verbal English communication skills.
