As the ideal candidate you will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing IT operations, infrastructure, data, and a team of IT professionals. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and secure operation of our company’s IT systems, supporting business continuity and driving technological advancements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead and manage the IT department, ensuring maximum availability and performance of IT services.
• Oversee IT infrastructure, managing the installation, maintenance and security protocols of all hardware, software, and network systems, including backups and disaster recovery processes to guarantee business continuity and rapid response to IT crises.
• Ensure compliance with Group IT policies and procedures and continuously document and enhance IT processes to ensure quality control and a strong knowledge base.
• Provide comprehensive technical support for corporate systems, email, and telephony to all sta_ members.
• Coordinate procurement and vendor negotiations for IT infrastructure.
• Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals fostering team performance through coaching and training.
• Identify, deploy, and ensure the operational readiness of new technologies, including software installations and upgrades, to improve business operations and the customer experience.
• Manage IT budgets, maintaining strong vendor relationships and overseeing contractor work to ensure project specifications and budgetary constraints are met.
• Partner with other departments to understand their IT needs and deliver effective, strategic IT solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• BSc in Computer Science/Information Systems or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an IT management role within a medium to large retail/commercial operation.
• Certifications such as Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP, MCSE) are highly desirable.
• Experience in managing a Hybrid Cloud Environment.
• Project Management certification is an asset.
• Experience with POS systems, inventory management software, and e-commerce platforms is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of network administration, system security, and database management.
• Sound knowledge of local and wide area networks including VOIP.
• Good negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, analytical, organized, detailed-oriented, and flexible.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
