Reporting Relationship:
This position reports directly to the Vice President Operations or as designated.
Summary:
This position is responsible for all in-store applications/software, hardware and systems OR above store- corporate technology, network management, and cyber security or BOTH for operating regions or areas assigned. This position also leads process improvement, systems development and transformation via technology within the stores, corporate functions and for security / surveillance for assigns regions and can involve travel abroad.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains and manages all in-store hardware and software as well as specific RSC and Warehouse hardware and software
- Network management and administration
- Cyber Security management and administration
- Leads, develops and manages the team of IT Support Professionala
- Leads process improvement, systems development and transformation via technology for all systems in stores.
- Ensures that there is a proper knowledge management system and that there is cross-functional training as well as back up resources for all functions and systems.
- Develops human resources assigned (recruits and trains) in IT/Technology and PHL systems
- Develops and documents appropriate policies and procedures as well as recommends strategy for IT/Technology.
- Oversees the overall operation and management of all network connectivity hardware to the stores, warehouse and RSC.
- Assists with the purchase of services and/or product and inventory of computer hardware, software, cabling and communication products.

- Recommends additions and changes to information/technology system standards, policies and procedures
- Effectively manages equipment life-cycles and provides input into annual planning process.
- Effectively communicates technical information to staff members
- Ensures the stable and reliable connectivity of all LAN and WAN devices in store.
- Rapidly troubleshoots network outages.
- Designs and integrates new WAN links as required
- Provides applicable desktop assistance for LAN connectivity issues
- Assists in Server evaluation, configuration, installation and setup
- Administers User Accounts
- Installs, supports and administers 3rd party server and network based applications
- Oversees Security & Disaster/Recovery
- Installs, configures, and maintains personal computers, UNIX workstations, file servers, Ethernet networks, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems; adds or upgrades and configures modems, disk drives, CD ROM units, printers, and related equipment.
- Participates in long and short range technology planning.
- Maintains documentation regarding network configuration, operating procedures relating to network hardware and software.
- Attends classes, seminars, conferences to enhance knowledge of trends and developments related to local area network systems.
- Project Management of assigned projects.
- A knowledge of all aspects of the in-store hardware and applications.
- In particular is responsible for CCTV, surveillance, alarms, access systems, music, PA systems and other similar electronic systems.
- Management of suppliers and contractors related to the above services
- Budget management of assigned area.
- Managing KPIs, targets and service levels
- Any other related duties as may be required
Qualifications
- BSc. Degree in Computer Science/Technology or equivalent
- MBA or MSc. Computer Science is an asset
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ of experience in a similar position in a leadership role
- Experience with managing projects will be considered an asset
- Experience in programming/coding will be considered an asset
- Proficiency in TCP/IP networking on multi-protocol LAN
- Proficiency in NT/2000 fundamentals and concepts
- Experience with Microsoft DHCP, DNS, Active Directory
- Microsoft Certification(s) is preferred
- Experience with Ethernet VLANs, switched internetworking, VPN, and frame-relay. Experience with Cisco Systems products (CCNA, CCIE is preferred)
- Experience with protocol analyzers and SNMP based network management tools
- Experience with Firewalls
- Experience with CCTV, surveillance, alarms, access systems, music, PA systems and other similar electronic systems.

- Strong project management and organizational skills and the ability to quickly assess and prioritize

- Must be in possession of a Valid Driver’s license.
WORKING CONTEXT / CONDITIONS
The position of IT Lead Professional will operate primarily to support the Restaurant Support Centre and stores. Due to the nature of the Restaurant business the position will be on call due to the availability of support staff and provide backup during vacation periods/illness or emergency situations.
