INVENTORY CLERK (ON-SITE)

JOB DESCRIPTION:          The Inventory clerk plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate records of the company's inventory. He/She is responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, and ensuring proper  documentation of all inventory-related transactions.

POSITION STATUS:         Fixed-Term Contract

DIRECT REPORT TO:       Inventory Coordinator

                                       (Indirectly: Warehouse & Inventory Supervisor)

WORK HOURS:                  7:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday to Saturday, one-hour lunch

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Monitors and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Maintains up-to-date inventory records in the company’s inventory management system Timberline.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed to avoid shortages.
  • Organize inventory to facilitate easy access and retrieval.
  • Conduct routine audits to verify inventory accuracy.
  • Identify discrepancies between physical counts and recorded inventory levels.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
  • Generate reports detailing inventory levels, transactions, and any discrepancies found during audits.
  • Ensure proper documentation of material, including receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments.
  • Daily distribution of materials to the site.
  • Coordinate with other departments, to ensure smooth inventory operations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to address any inventory-related concerns or issues.
  • Inspect incoming inventory for quality and accuracy.
  • Identify any damaged or defective items and report them for replacement or repair.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

SKILLS:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management/Operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in warehousing and inventory control.

 WORK CONDITIONS

  • Work Environment: Construction site, frequent exposure to heat and dust.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry items up to 50lbs, as required.
