INTERNAL AUDITOR

Responsible for assisting Management with sound proactive management of the organization, furnishing analyses and appraisals; reporting findings and making recommendations

• Conducts research to gain full understanding of the organization’s functions and implement measures to ensure currency of the operations.
• Review organizational activities to determine whether they are being efficiently and effectively executed in accordance stated policies and procedures.
• Review the reliability and integrity of financial information and the means used to identify, measure, classify and report and store such information.
• Participates, with the CEO and other Senior Management personnel, in the formulation of short and long term strategic and operational plans for the organization.
• Conduct audits of the operations of the regional offices.
• Analyze root causes of control influences and recommend corrective actions
• Reviews the planning, design, development, implementation and operation of relevant computer-based systems to determine whether:
• Adequate controls are incorporated in the systems
• Thorough system testing is performed at appropriate stages
• System documentation is complete and accurate
• The needs of users are met
•  Appraises the efficiency with which resources are employed and identify opportunities to improve operating performance and recommend solutions to problems where appropriate.

• Reviews operations and plans to ascertain whether results are consistent with established objectives and goals and whether the operations and plans are being carried out as intended.
• Queries, makes observations and bring to the attention of the Chief Executive Officer, any deviation from procedures, unauthorized expenditure or any over-expenditure.
• Provides independent, proactive analysis of operations, financial activities and systems of internal control.

 Makes periodic physical checks of stocks, tools, furniture and equipment, motor vehicles and other company assets against inventory records, thereby ensuring proper inventory and maintenance.
