The Human Resource Officer supports the Human Resource Manager on the timely and accurate implementation, and administration of related Human Resource activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:    

Recruitment & Selection:

  • Sources applicable pool(s) of candidates for the selection process.
  • Coordinates and assists with the execution of recruitment and selection activities such as shortlisting, interviewing, compiling final screening summary, and conducting reference checks where required.
  • Coordinates selection and assessment activities where required.
  • Prepares employment file by obtaining, reviewing and filing all established records required to support the actual hiring process.
  • Maintains reports and record databases where required.

Training & Development:

  • Assists with the development, implementation and maintenance of all Training and Development initiatives.
  • Supports with sourcing, monitoring, measuring/evaluating, and reporting on staff training, both internal and external.
  • Contributes to the ongoing development of learning and T&D plans.
  • Gives overall support to the learning and development function.

 General Duties:

  • Assists with the preparation of reports, presentations and other documentation required to support the department in meeting its commitments to key stakeholders.
  • Prepares correspondence, inclusive of but not limited to, contracts, letters and memos of a confidential nature, and issues as directed.
  • Secures quotes and other documentation from service providers in support of contracted services required by the Company and ensures the timely approval and accurate payment of service providers.
  • Provides general administrative support in executing key functions as directed by the Executive and Management team.
  • Maintains an effective filing system for specific areas as defined.
  • Provides leave relief support to other members of the team as required.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures, inclusive of but not limited to the Company’s policy on health and safety.
  • Undertakes other duties which may arise or may be delegated to support the objectives of the organisation.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management or related discipline.

 Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a support role in Human Resource, particularly in the areas of Recruitment and Selection, and, Training and Development.
  • Expert skills in Office Administration.

 Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • General knowledge of current labour laws, regulations and good industrial relation principles and practices.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Good work ethic.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient administrative skills.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office.
  • Results-Oriented.
