HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER
Job brief
As a Human Resource Officer, you will be responsible for various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management and compliance with Jamaican Labour Laws
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Onboarding
Coordinate the recruitment process, including posting job vacancies, screening applications, scheduling interviews and assisting in selecting candidates
Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and new hires are introduced to company policies, culture and procedures.
Conducting new hire orientation
HR Policy Implementation
Implement HR policies and procedures in alignment with company goals and local labour laws
Ensure employees understand and comply with company policies, including code of conduct, attendance, dress code and other relevant regulations.
Review and update policies as needed to reflect changes in labour law, organizational needs, or best practices.
Performance Management
Support the performance management process by coordinating performance evaluations, tracking employee progress and facilitating performance reviews.
Assist managers in setting performance goals and monitoring employee development.
Identigy employee training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.
Benefits Administration
Serve as point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits and workplace issues
Assist employees with inquiries regarding their benefits and ensure they are fully informed about their entitlements.
Compliance and Legal Requirements
Ensure compliance with local labour laws, health and safety regulations and company policies.
Manage and document disciplinary actions, investigations and terminations in compliance with company procedures and labour laws.
Maintain accuracte employee records and ensure confidentiality and data protection in compliance with privacy regulations
HR Reporting and Data Management
Maintain and update employee records, including personal details, contracts, attendance and performance data
Prepare HR reports and analytics for management review
Training and Development
Help identify training needs within the company and coordinate employee training programs.
Employee Offboarding
Coordinate the offboarding process for departing employees, ensuring smooth transition and completion of all exit documentation
