Human Resources Officer provides support within the human resources function which include, recruitment, training and development, performance management, employee relations, compensation and payroll administration.

Human Resources Officer

 (Permanent)

Location: Chaguanas

Salary: $10,000.00 to $15,000.00 (maximum)

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, application review, interviews, and onboarding. 
  • Conduct employee orientation, induction sessions, and exit interviews; prepare related reports.
  • Educate employees on policies and proceedures, and maintain HR records.
  • Monitor performance management systems and assist managers with evaluations. 
  • Support training initiatives, monitor budgets, and track training attendance.
  • Manage employee medical plans and ensure inclusion in retirement funds.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly payroll and assist with pay and benefits budgeting.
  • Maintain professional knowledge through workshops and professional development. 
  • Support team development and perform related administrative duties. 
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Management, HR, or related field.
  • Postgraduate certification in HR Management is an asset. 
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a generalist HR role.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, industrial relations, HRIS, and payroll systems.

  • Strong problem-solving and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, highly responsible, and ethical.
  • Customer service orientation and high confidentiality standards.
