The Human Resources Manager will provide overall management and coordination of human resource activities and play an integral role in driving HR initiatives and strategies to support the attainment of the organisation’s strategic goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the General Manager to drive initiatives that promote organisational effectiveness, change management, conflict resolution and employee engagement. 
  • Lead the development and implementation of HR Strategies in alignment with the organisation’s goals. 
  • Review and analyse organisational and HRM data in order to provide a basis for human resource planning and the maintenance of a human resource management system.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to drive innovation, promote employee engagement, diversity and other people initiatives.
  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment, hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development, including succession planning.
  • Oversee the management of the disciplinary process by ensuring adherence to proper industrial relations practices and procedures prior to the initiation of disciplinary proceedings.
  • Represent the organisation in matters before the Equal Opportunity Commission, Ministry of Labour and Industrial Court as required.
  • Scan internal environment, identify areas of vulnerability and recommend appropriate industrial relations intervention strategies to reduce the organisation’s industrial relations risk.
  • Develop and execute Project Plans for human resource strategic planning and other processes as required.
  • Provide written advice and guidance regarding the application of HRM policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Conducts research into HRM and client satisfaction issues; analyses and evaluates data, and makes recommendations on the application of HRM policies and procedures and/or changes to be made.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, draft Cabinet/Ministerial Notes, internal notes, circulars, memoranda, statements of evidence and arguments and other documents related to employee relations and industrial relations matters.
  • Monitor HR Reporting and Analytics to ensure efficiency and effectiveness throughout the organisation. 
  • Develop relevant HR policies and procedures, desk manuals, workflow charts and other organisational planning tools as required.
  • Drive organisational change initiatives, ensuring effective communication and support for employees.
  • Lead change management efforts to facilitate smooth transitions during periods of growth and transformation
  • Design and review pay structures, benefits, and incentive programs.
  • Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate health, safety, security and environmental policies and procedures.

Perform any other related duties as required by the job function. 

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • B.Sc. in Sociology, Psychology and/or Management from a recognised and accredited University.
  • Masters’ Degree in Business Administration from a recognised and accredited University.
  • Certificate in Labour Law.
  • Certification in Mediation will be an asset.
  • Certification in change management will be an asset.

 

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 10 years’ experience in Human Resources Management at the executive level with a proven track record in strategic HR leadership.
  • At least 5 years’ proven experience in practicing employee and industrial relations.
