Human Resources Manager (Barbados and the OECS)

Job Purpose

The Human Resources Manager (Barbados & The OECS) is based in Barbados and leads the people strategy across a diverse regional portfolio. As a key business partner, the role aligns HR initiatives with overall business objectives while championing the Group’s culture and values. This role oversees the full employee lifecycle and leads a team of HR professionals to achieve extraordinary results.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior leaders to align HR strategy with business goals
  • Champion organisational culture, values and leadership behaviours across the Group
  • Standardise recruitment, workforce planning and talent acquisition frameworks
  • Drive performance management systems aligned to business KPIs
  • Challenge and motivate teams to consistently achieve extraordinary results and professional growth
  • Lead learning, development and employee engagement initiatives to build a high-performance culture
  • Develop and implement HR policies aligned with Group standards and local legislation
  • Ensure compliance with Labour Laws across Barbados and the OECS
  • Lead investigations into complaints and disciplinary matters, developing procedures to resolve issues swiftly and amicably while ensuring procedural fairness and risk mitigation.
  • Manage compensation, benefits, incentives and recognition programs to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity
  • Govern HRIS operations and data integrity across the Group
  • Deliver HR analytics, insights and reporting to senior leadership
  • Lead internal HR communication initiatives to ensure consistent, transparent and engaging messaging to build employee trust
  • Lead, develop and inspire regional HR teams to build capabilities and deliver exceptional results

Requirements

  • A Master’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • A minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) years of progressive HR leadership experience, including at least 3 years at a managerial level
  • Experience managing multiple regional territories is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Labour Laws in Barbados and the OECS
  • High level of emotional intelligence, discretion, and sound professional judgment
  • Excellent Executive-Level communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
  • Strong leadership capability, with proven experience coaching and managing HR team leads

 

Successful candidates must be legally authorized to work in Barbados and able to relocate at their own expense
