We're seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented HR Intern to join our Human Resources team. This position provides essential support across various HR functions, but will mainly focus on project-oriented duties and tasks related to Fleet and Inventory Management.
Key Responsibilities:
Primarily provide assistance and support for two (2) main projects:
-Fleet Management
-Inventory Management
Track, record, and ensure accuracy of employee attendance data (including overtime, sick days, and leave).
Leave Administration.
Assist with the preparation and collection of documents for payroll, and answer payroll-related queries from employees.
Assist in recruitment, selection, onboarding of new hires, and transfer procedures.
Support employee records management with the strictest confidentiality.
Provide assistance in training and development, policy improvement and compliance.
Requirements:
Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
2-3 years of progressive work experience in a medium size organization; 1-2 years in an HR support role preferred.
Exposure to handling fleet management (motor cars and trucks) and working with inventory, would be an asset.
Knowledgeable of Jamaican labor laws, data protection act and procurement law and policy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
