JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources function, ensuring the efficient execution of HR processes and the maintenance of accurate employee records. The role supports recruitment, employee lifecycle activities, and HR systems while ensuring compliance with organisational policies and labour practices in Trinidad & Tobago.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a HR or administrative support role
ANY EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
HR Administration & Records Management
- Maintain and update employee files (electronic and physical) ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Prepare HR documentation including employment contracts, letters, and memos
- Track employee movements such as appointments, transfers, promotions, and separations
- Maintain and update HR databases and HRIS systems
Recruitment & Onboarding Support
- Assist with posting job advertisements and coordinating interview schedules
- Communicate with candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruitment process
- Prepare interview packages and support selection logistics
- Coordinate onboarding activities including orientation and documentation
Employee Lifecycle Support
- Process new hires, confirmations, contract renewals, and separations
- Monitor probationary periods and notify relevant stakeholders
- Support exit processes including clearance and documentation
Payroll & Benefits Administration Support
- Compile and submit employee data for payroll processing
- Track attendance, leave, and absenteeism records
- Assist with benefits enrolment and respond to basic employee queries
Training & Development Coordination
- Schedule training sessions and coordinate logistics
- Maintain training records and attendance registers
- Assist in preparing training materials and reports
HR Reporting & Data Management
- Generate routine HR reports (e.g., headcount, leave, turnover)
- Maintain accurate HR metrics and dashboards
- Support HR audits and compliance reviews
Policy & Compliance Support
- Ensure HR documentation complies with internal policies
- Assist in communicating HR policies and updates to employees
- Support adherence to labour laws and organisational procedures
