Human Resources Employee Relations

Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Human Resource Specialist to strengthen our team and support our growing operations. The ideal candidate will be proactive in seeking to prevent and resolve problems or disputes and to help create and enforce policies that are fair and consistent.

 Principal Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve workplace complaints, grievances, and disciplinary issues in accordance with Jamaican labour laws and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records related to investigations, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
• Serve as the main point of contact for employee relations matters across the organization.
• Support and guide our line managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
• Conduct exit interviews and provide analytical insights on trends.
• Ensure fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.
• Coordinate employee engagement activities to support a positive workplace culture.
• Contribute to policy development and HR compliance initiatives.

 Minimum Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in HR with a focus on employee relations.
• Strong knowledge of the Jamaican Labour Code and employment legislation.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and HRIS systems.
• Proficient in providing reports on activities to support awareness and behaviour changing actions.
