Coordinate and manage the efficient running of the HR functions with particular emphasis on issues related to industrial relations, performance management, recruitment, training/development, compensation management, employee engagement and HRIS.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the recruitment, benefit administration, training, structuring, organizing, performance management and disciplining of staff (working with and advising Managers/Department heads).
  • Manage, Coordinate and Conduct training and personal growth opportunities and initiatives for staff and all levels aligned to organizational and departmental objectives.
  • Manage, coordinate, update all inputs and reporting from Company’s HRIS.
  • Responsible for the Monthly HR Report and development of HR Metrics in-line with Group’s Best Practice.
  • Continuously review and update policies and procedures to reflect the culture of the organization.
  • Provide consultation and advise to management on employee relations issues and manage disciplinary issues within the company. Represent the organization at external conciliation or employee meetings as required.
  • Conduct disciplinary meetings, hearings and complete reports/recommendations as required in compliance with Company Policies and the Legislative Framework of Trinidad & Tobago.
  • Participate in Committees and Teams as may be required; e.g. HSE Committee, Events Committee, Personnel Development & Employee Engagement.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of all employee data and sensitive company related information.
  • Undertake corporate assignments/projects as assigned. ·
  • Supervise HR Staff as assigned and as required. 
  • Develop and recommend new policies and procedures to enhance the organization’s performance management programme. ·
  • Analyze significant performance management and appraisal programme management issues/problems and develop recommendations and alternatives solutions. ·
  • Annually assess the performance management programme, monitor probationary employees and track performance of contracted employees and provide analysis and recommendations accordingly. ·
  • Support management of the employee performance management process, to include but not limited to, performance plan guidance and development, feedback process, and the final evaluation process.
  • Assist in other areas of work based on the needs of the department and any other area as necessary in support of Company activities.Prepare Data driven reports and present to Manager and Executive weekly on KPIs and OKRs assigned.

Job Specification:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in a Human Resource Management - related/ similar field in the Faculty of Social Sciences would be considered. 
  • Certificate in Industrial Relations 

 

Experience:

· 5-6 years experience directly in Human Resources or any related  combination of Training, Skills and Cirtification that allows you to excel as an HR Professional 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· Underdtanding of the Labour Laws and good industrial relations practices.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Effective verbal, written and presentation skills.

· Excellent planning and coordinating skills

· Interviewing Skills

· Strong organization and time management skills.

· Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

· Team Player

· Results oriented with an attention to detail.

· Ability to operate in a fast paced, performance driven environment

· Proficient in Microsoft Office
