Human Resource Manager (Manufacturing)

A leading chemical manufacturing company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resource Manager to oversee all aspects of the HR function and play a key role in driving organizational success. This is a senior-level position that requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and expertise in managing the full HR lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance on manpower planning to ensure optimal staffing levels.

  • Ensure the timely recruitment and placement of all budgeted positions.

  • Champion the Performance Management System and Talent Roadmap.

  • Facilitate talent calibration sessions to assess and align employee performance, potential, and development needs.

  • Lead the Annual Salary Review Exercise, including salary adjustments and bonuses.

  • Oversee employee benefits administration, including pension and health plans.

  • Drive employee communications and ensure awareness of roles, responsibilities, and company policies.

  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

  • Collaborate with Industrial Relations to:

    • Monitor employment and industrial relations climate.

    • Advise and participate in negotiations.

    • Manage employee relations matters and conduct disciplinary hearings.

    • Ensure prompt grievance resolution.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree an asset.

  • Minimum of 7–8 years’ experience in Human Resources, with at least 3 years at the executive support level.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook).

  • Sound knowledge of Jamaican labour laws and employment regulations.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills.
