Human Resource Manager (Manufacturing)
A leading chemical manufacturing company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resource Manager to oversee all aspects of the HR function and play a key role in driving organizational success. This is a senior-level position that requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and expertise in managing the full HR lifecycle.
Provide guidance on manpower planning to ensure optimal staffing levels.
Ensure the timely recruitment and placement of all budgeted positions.
Champion the Performance Management System and Talent Roadmap.
Facilitate talent calibration sessions to assess and align employee performance, potential, and development needs.
Lead the Annual Salary Review Exercise, including salary adjustments and bonuses.
Oversee employee benefits administration, including pension and health plans.
Drive employee communications and ensure awareness of roles, responsibilities, and company policies.
Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Collaborate with Industrial Relations to:
Monitor employment and industrial relations climate.
Advise and participate in negotiations.
Manage employee relations matters and conduct disciplinary hearings.
Ensure prompt grievance resolution.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree an asset.
Minimum of 7–8 years’ experience in Human Resources, with at least 3 years at the executive support level.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook).
Sound knowledge of Jamaican labour laws and employment regulations.
Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills.
