We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Human Resource Director to lead our HR operations across all Jamaican sites. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), this senior executive will be instrumental in shaping and executing strategic HR initiatives that align with business objectives and the unique demands of the BPO industry. The ideal candidate will champion a people-first culture while ensuring full compliance with Jamaican labour legislation and global industry standards.
Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all HR functions within Segoso’s Jamaican BPO operations.
Design and execute HR strategies that align with company goals, with a focus on talent management, organizational development, and employee engagement.
Collaborate with senior leadership to drive workforce planning, recruitment strategies, and organizational structure initiatives.
Oversee compensation and benefits administration, performance management systems, and employee recognition programs.
Ensure compliance with local labour laws, including the Labour Relations and Industrial Disputes Act and the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
Develop, maintain, and enforce HR policies, employee handbooks, and procedural guidelines in alignment with legal and industry best practices.
Lead investigations, disciplinary procedures, and grievance handling in accordance with Jamaican legal frameworks.
Drive training and development initiatives, including upskilling, leadership programs, and succession planning.
Foster a high-retention culture through employee engagement, recognition, and morale-boosting programs.
Promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) across all levels of the organization.
Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on matters related to HR risk, company culture, and talent optimization.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHRi, CHRP) strongly preferred.
Minimum of 7 years in progressive HR leadership roles, with at least 5 years in the BPO or service-based industry.
Comprehensive knowledge of Jamaican labour legislation and regulatory frameworks.
Demonstrated success in managing large-scale HR operations and compliance audits.
Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HRIS systems, and data analysis tools.
Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed, or multinational organization is an asset.
