The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator position is exposed to all human resources procedures and assists with tasks throughout all areas of the HR department. In addition to supporting with recruiting and placing new employees, the HR Coordinator assists with guiding employees through various human resource processes, answering any questions they may have. 

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assists with processing of terminations 
  • Conducts new employee onboarding and orientation 
  • Provide coordination and support to the HR team in capturing data, research for HR programmes, initiatives and investigations. 
  • Coordinating the IT requests for the addition and removal of leaders for the respective leadership distribution lists. 
  • Add and update employee’s information in the HR management system 
  • Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks the status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process 
  • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the HR Manager. 
  • Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions. 
  • Files documents into appropriate employee files. 
  • Assists or prepares correspondence as requested. 
  • Prepares new-employee files. 
  • Generate a variety of HR reports using the HR management system for People Success and other business partners. 
  • Analyses data for the HR team 
  • Prepares reports requested by the HR Manager 
  • Coordinating the enrolment, de-enrolment, claims and tracking for health and life insurance.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management, Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development or Psychology. 
  • A minimum of 1 year related experience required 
  • Knowledge and Experience with using Human Resource Management Information System 
  • Experience using HR Plus or BambooHR is an asset
