As a part of the Human Resource Department, you will be expected to aid in supporting the achievement of organizational objectives through systematically and objectively ensuring that all matters related to employees are efficiently managed and timely executed.

Human Resource Coordinator

 

 

 1.    Purpose of job

Provides support with the delivery of core HR functions, with an emphasis on employee welfare, benefits, and employee file management. The role ensures accurate execution of HR administrative processes while supporting projects related to the employee lifecycle and broader HR goals.

 

 2.    Principal responsibilities

 

  • Ensure that employees are correctly and timely enrolled to and removed from all applicable benefit plans. This involves managing the invoice submissions from providers, ensuring that the invoices are received and processed with discrepancies raised and tracked for corrections.

 

  • Manage the collection and distribution of employee documentation

 

  • Manage leave administration to ensure that there is compliance with the related policy.

 

  • Uniforms and related items (including personal protective equipment (PPE)) are ordered and are distributed to employees according to requirements and related policies.

 

  • Ensure that locations are equipped with first aid items in accordance with legal requirements.

 

  • Support the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date personnel files for all employees. 

 

  • Support the review of all policies which fall under this portfolio are reviewed annually to ensure soundness, currency and compliance with applicable laws.

 

  • Participate in scheduled location visits alongside HR leadership as required, which includes a presence at staff meetings. 

 

 

  1. 3.    Minimum education, knowledge and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, management studies or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in an administrative role providing key support to the human resource function.
  • Knowledge of local labour legislation, rules, and/or regulations governing human resource policies/procedures, practices.
  • Highly confidential with the ability to handle sensitive situations.  Possesses attributes such as poise, tact and diplomacy.
  • Detail oriented, highly organized and able to establish priorities, and to work on own initiative to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Competence with word processing, analytical and presentation software, preferably Microsoft Office Suite.
