The Payroll Officer (Weekly) is responsible for managing the company's weekly payroll process to ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries, wages, bonuses, and deductions.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
Process and manage the weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payment on a weekly basis.
Verify the accuracy of payroll data, including timekeeping records, salary adjustments, incentives / bonuses, and deductions.
Calculate overtime, shift payments, and other variable elements of pay.
Printing, balancing and filing of all payroll reports weekly.
Monitoring all leave for weekly payroll of absenteeism, sick leave, vacation and bereavement.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with National legal regulations related to payroll.
Prepare, process and file all necessary payroll tax documents and reports for all weekly staff.
Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files.
Onboarding of all weekly staff in terms of generating contracts, job descriptions and respective appraisals.
Benefits Administration:
Coordinate, process and manage employee benefits, such as health insurance, NIS, retirement plans, and other benefits.
Ensure proper deductions and contributions for benefits are processed.
Employee Support:
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and benefits.
Provide guidance and support on payroll-related issues and processes.
System Management:
Maintain and update payroll systems and software.
Ensure data integrity and confidentiality in all payroll-related activities.
Audits and Reconciliation:
Conduct regular audits of payroll procedures and records to ensure accuracy.
Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Minimum Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field would be an asset.
3-4 years’ experience within payroll.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Good communication skills.
Analytical and problem solving skills.
Knowledge and processing of NIS, health surcharge and PAYE claim forms.
Prolem solving skills and the abiltiy to multi task and work under pressure.
Experience with Ezpay payroll package will be an asset.
