The HR Analyst supports the Human Resource Department by performing data analysis, reporting & generating insights and recommendations derived from HR metrics & trends using data from a variety of resources.
Position: Human Resource Analyst
Reporting Relationship: This position reports directly to the People Capability & Culture Manager
Summary: The Human Resource (HR) Analyst supports the Human Resource Department byperforming data analysis, reporting, and generating insights and recommendationsderived from HR metrics and trends using data from a variety of resources.
Duties and Responsibilities:
HRIS Administrator (daily – monthly)
- Administrates all HRIS modules including Payroll
- Create and update user account profiles – self service, HR and Payroll
- Upload annual rate and salary changes via bulk import
- Sanitize and upload monthly separation data via bulk import
- Periodically review employee database for data integrity issues
- Calculate any retro payments owed to hourly rated employees
- Troubleshoot access issues raised by end users related to Self Service module
- Develop and generate Earnings and Overtime reports to support HR and other departmental requests
Data Analysis and Reporting (monthly)
- Gather, analyze and interpret HR data to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Generate regular reports on HR metrics, trends, and compliance.
- Support workforce planning and forecasting to align with organizational goals.
- Assist in evaluating employee engagement metrics to enhance workplace culture.
- Collaborate with HR team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency
Bonus Projections and Incentives (monthly – yearly)
- Prepare bonus projections and performs scenario testing for all brands based on current performance trends
- Prepare models and scenarios for new and proposed programs including service charge matrices, profit sharing incentives etc.
- Prepare bonus projections using different scenarios for all brands based on current performance trends
- Complete bonus calculations using PHL Bonus Guidelines for all brands – hourly and monthly employees
- Analyse bonus payouts i.e. compare with previous year and identify anomalies and provide explanations
- Prepares Balance Score Card (BSC) Incentive Structures and calculation worksheets for all Brands.
Performance Appraisals (yearly)
- Design and arrange printing of restaurant performance appraisal (PA) forms for all brands – hourly and monthly employees
- Create PA calculators for all brands to provide data for annual PA exercise – monthly employees
- Create PA summary forms to collect all PA data for all brands – hourly employees
- Consolidate PA data for all brands – hourly and monthly employees
Compensation (yearly)
- Complete compensation calculations for restaurant management teams using PHL Compensation Guidelines
- Review management compensation structures as required e.g. minimum wage increase
- Prepare bonus and compensation letters for restaurant management across brands and RSC teams
- Coordinates and/or provides data for salary surveys
Perform other related duties as may be required by the job function.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Major/Minor in any of the above an asset.
- Strong analytical skills and high proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
- Experience with HRIS and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis software and HR metrics.
- Certification in HR analytics or related fields is a plus.
