The Human Capital Officer – Employee Engagement must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrate creativity, and be highly organized in managing multiple initiatives.

JOB OVERVIEW:
The Human Capital Officer – Employee Engagement provides tactical and strategic support to the Culture and Organisational Development Specialist in designing, coordinating, and executing engagement initiatives across Guardian Group. The role ensures that programs and events foster belonging, strengthen culture, and enhance the employee experience. The incumbent partners with leaders and staff to deliver effective engagement initiatives, communications, and events that align with Guardian’s values and strategic objectives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  
1. Engagement Initiatives Execution
• Support the Manager in developing and implementing the annual engagement calendar.
• Coordinate and execute company-wide and business-unit specific initiatives (e.g., recognition programs, wellness activities, team-building).
• Track participation, gather feedback, and recommend enhancements to increase impact and inclusivity.

2. Event Management
• Lead planning and logistics for internal engagement events (e.g., Town Halls, Employee Appreciation Week, CSR activities).
• Manage vendor coordination, venue selection, budgets, and execution.
• Prepare post-event evaluations and reports for leadership.

3. Communications & Engagement Branding
• Draft, design, and distribute employee communications for engagement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Corporate Communications to create branded materials (e.g., flyers, newsletters, videos).
• Maintain consistency of tone, style, and messaging across all internal engagement platforms.

4. Survey & Feedback Management
• Administer engagement and pulse surveys, ensuring confidentiality and integrity of data.
• Compile, analyze, and prepare survey results and recommendations.
• Support the Manager in tracking engagement KPIs and presenting trends to leadership.

5. Stakeholder & Relationship Management
• Partner with Business Units to tailor initiatives to their workforce needs.
• Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding engagement queries and ideas.
• Build strong internal relationships to embed engagement practices into business operations.

6. General Support
• Provide tactical and administrative support to the Manager on culture, recognition, and engagement projects.
• Perform any other engagement-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Communications, Social Sciences, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in HR, Engagement, Corporate Communications, or Event Management.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
As a regulated entity with obligations under the Know Your Employee guidelines, a Certificate of Character is required.
