The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for:

  • Leading the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring exceptional cleanliness, presentation, and service consistency in guest rooms, suites, villas, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
  • Overseeing staffing schedules, task assignments, and productivity standards to meet operational needs while maintaining efficiency and quality.
  • Ensuring all cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and brand guidelines are consistently applied and complied with across all housekeeping functions.
  • Managing departmental budgets, cost controls, inventory levels, and the procurement of supplies, linen, guest amenities, and equipment.
  • Supervising, training, and developing housekeeping supervisors, room attendants, and public area teams, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and high performance.
  • Conducting regular inspections of rooms, public areas, and common spaces, ensuring readiness for guest arrivals and alignment with brand standards.
  • Partnering with Front Office, Maintenance, and other operational departments to support seamless room turnover, guest satisfaction, and rapid issue resolution.
  • Implementing and monitoring quality audits, productivity KPIs, and cleanliness metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Managing laundry operations, linen control, and equipment maintenance to guarantee consistent quality and cost efficiency.
  • Responding promptly to guest inquiries or service recovery needs related to room cleanliness, amenities, or housekeeping services.

 

The ideal candidate has:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Housekeeping leadership roles within luxury hotels or high-volume resorts.
  • Proven expertise in room inspections, cleaning standards, laundry operations, and large housekeeping team management.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to coordinate complex operations and meet demanding turnaround times.
  • Experience managing departmental budgets, inventories, and operational KPIs.
  • Excellent leadership abilities with a guest-centric mindset and a strong commitment to service excellence.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols, chemical handling procedures, and environmental hygiene standards.
  • Ability to manage pressure, solve problems effectively, and maintain high standards in fast-paced environments.
