Seeking a highly organized and experienced Housekeeping Manager to support the Director of Housekeeping in overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments. This role is pivotal in ensuring exceptional cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency across all areas of the resort. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Assist in planning, directing, and coordinating all housekeeping and laundry activities to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
  • Supervise daily operations, promoting quality service and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively—both verbally and in writing—to assign tasks and provide detailed instructions to housekeeping, public area, and laundry team members.
  • Support staffing efforts including recruitment, training, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and team development.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels to maintain service excellence and operational efficiency.
  • Lead and monitor team activities to ensure compliance with SOPs, quality assurance standards, and loss prevention protocols.
  • Assist in managing departmental budgets, payroll, supply costs, and expenditures to align with financial forecasts.
  • Support workload distribution and staffing adjustments based on business needs to optimize productivity and guest satisfaction.

 Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of housekeeping and laundry management experience, overseeing departmental P&L and teams of 30+ members.
  • At least 2 years of operational management experience in a boutique resort setting.
  • Advanced knowledge of chemical usage and safety in housekeeping and laundry operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage workflow, and lead teams effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and familiarity with public spaces, guest rooms, and housekeeping equipment.
