The Operations Manager works directly with the Managing Director and is responsible for overseeing the operations of both the Administration Office in Trinidad and the Hotel in Tobago.

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Hotel Operations Manager with a strong background in the hospitality industry to oversee the full spectrum of hotel operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing hotel functions and teams, with a deep understanding of delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining operational excellence. This role directly supports the Managing Director and ensures seamless collaboration between the hotel in Tobago and the administrative operations in Trinidad.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead all aspects of daily hotel operations with a hands-on approach, ensuring guest satisfaction, staff efficiency, and adherence to quality service standards.
• Collaborate closely with department heads including Reservations, Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage, Marketing, and Administration to maintain a high-performing, guest-centric environment.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance the guest experience, improve service delivery, and maximize operational efficiency.
• Prepare and manage monthly budgets in conjunction with the accounting team and Managing Director.
• Supervise staff scheduling and rostering to ensure adequate coverage across all departments.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all hotel offerings, rates, policies, and events to ensure accurate communication across departments.
• Conduct regular operations and performance meetings with department heads to ensure smooth coordination and alignment with business goals.
• Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and training of hotel staff to uphold service standards and brand integrity.
• Partner with the marketing team to execute revenue-driven campaigns and enhance occupancy rates.
• Represent the Hotel at industry events and maintain strong working relationships with external stakeholders including the Tourism Board, local and international travel agencies, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and certification requirements.
• Prepare high-level correspondence and reports on behalf of the Managing Director.
• Be available for emergency support and operational issues on a 24-hour on-call basis as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in hotel operations management, preferably in a leadership capacity within a 3-star or higher property.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated success in driving operational excellence and guest satisfaction.
• Solid understanding of hotel budgeting, reporting, and performance metrics.
• Flexible, solution-oriented, and highly organized with the ability to thrive in a dynamic hospitality environment.
