The opportunity

Our Guyana location is currently recruiting for a Hospitality and Workplace Services Coordinator role to provide receptionist and administrative support to the overall office. This position calls on skills and knowledge to maintain a current understanding of firm policies, procedures, practices and general administrative operations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for routing internal and external calls at EY Guyana site, providing informational services and direction to employees, customers, guests and vendors.
  • Project a courteous and patient image over the firm's telephone network, responding with skill and courtesy to heavy surges in workload as well as greet and direct guests, personnel, customer and vendors with a professional image
  • Provide customer-focused information services
  • Handling office tasks- organizing files, preparing documents, presentations and report, setting up for meetings, reordering of supplies
  • Log in guests, customers, and vendors and inform Ernst & Young staff of their arrival 
  • Understand emergency procedures and act as an extension of daytime security and property control 
  • Handle and route incoming package deliveries; coordinate mail/deliveries
  • Support the Document Processing Center team with travel desk duties where necessary, booking of meeting rooms, preparation for events, document production as required in Word or Excel, and binding/copying as necessary
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strong administrative and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer proficiency- Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel & Powerpoint
  • Genuine desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others
  • Helpful and positive presence in the workplace
  • Polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail
  • Upbeat and positive attitude

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Minimum of 1- 3 years administrative and customer service experience

-          Post-Secondary School certification around areas of Customer Service, Administrative, Secretarial/ Receptionist and other related areas will be an asset
