HELICOPTER LANDING OFFICER |
POSITION PURPOSE: |
Provide HLO to handle helicopter related functions, basic office administrative duties; assist in safety functions, on the following platforms. Cassia, Amherstia, Mahogany B, Immortelle |
DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS: |
The services shall be performed on a 12-hour day basis rotated on a fourteen (14) days working schedule. Duties shall include but not be limited to the following: |
1. Prepare helicopter flight documents and handle helicopter arrival and chopper dispatching services (passenger and freight). |
2. Handle communications between the platform and the heliport, helicopters, boats and other locations via radio, telephone and fax. |
3. Conduct the safety orientation for arriving personnel. |
4. Assist in ensuring safe work practices are adhered to and carried out on the platform with freight and passenger management. |
5. Schedule personnel for weekly safety meetings. |
6. Maintain the Personnel-on–Board Register and assign sleeping accommodation for arriving personnel. |
7. Prepare weekly operations personnel duty roster for all platforms within the respective fields, including personnel on training and vacation. |
8. Record/update Company Personnel Annual Vacation Leave Log for all platforms within respective fields. |
9. Liaise directly with Purchasing Department with reference to equipment/materials approved for acquisition by Platform Supervisor. |
10. Inventory and prepare orders to replenish stationery supplies. |
11. Receive and dispatch all materials, equipment and supplies arriving and leaving the platform. This includes the preparation, routing and transmission of Material Request, Cargo Manifests and other related documents. |
12. Record all relevant data on newly acquired equipment. |
13. Track materials requests for all platforms in respective fields. |
14. Maintain general platform files which include helicopter and other platform records. |
15. Perform basic administrative duties on an offshore installation including the preparation of routine forms, tabulations, sketches, summaries and related items from previously prepared material and other source media. |
16. Conduct weekly checks and trouble shoot software problems (diagnostic checks) on all computers on platform. |
17. Prepare monthly graphs reflecting relevant field information e.g. platform update/field safety records, S.S.V. checks etc. |
18. Perform other duties as determined by the Platform Supervisor or his designate. |
